Make sure your checks get to vendors on time with the fast check option. Fast checks are sent via FedEx, which means they get to your payee in up to 3 days, instead of the usual postal service delivery time of 5-7 days.
Fast check payments work whether you’re paying via ACH bank transfer, credit card, or debit card.
You’ll have the option to make a fast check delivery when scheduling your payment deduction date. Here’s how to expedite your check payment:
- Log in to your Pay Bills account.
- Go to the Pay dashboard.
- Add a bill, pay a saved bill or make a payment without a bill.
- Choose how you wish to pay.
5. Select Paper check when asked how your vendor would like to receive the payment.
6. Fill in the vendor’s name and mail address. This will appear on the check. Click Continue.

Input a 5-digit, unhyphenated zip code.
7. When selecting a date for your payment to be deducted, make sure to choose the option to schedule a FAST delivery (at a $32.95 fee).
8. Leave a memo for your vendor. Click Continue.

The invoice number is set as default. The memo is printed on the check.
9. The last step is to confirm and schedule the payment after carefully reviewing the details in the Review & confirm page. Click Confirm and schedule payment to complete the process.
Note: Which fees will I pay for a fast check payment?
- If you select your credit card or debit card as the payment method, you’ll pay both the card fee (2.9%) and the fast delivery fee ($32.95).
- If you select ACH bank transfer as the payment method, you’ll only pay the fast delivery fee ($32.95). Learn more about Pay Bills fees.
- The fees are charged separately to your account.
That’s it! You’ll get an email with the payment details.
Can I track the status of my fast check payment?
Yes you can. In order to track your payment you’ll need FedEx’s tracking number. We will have access to the tracking information the day before the delivery date.
Contact support via chat the day before the requested delivery date, and we will provide you with FedEx’s tracking number.
Why can’t I see the fast check option?
There may be a number of reasons why the fast check option is not available for your payment:
- Your legal details are missing.
- It’s a recurring payment.
- The check address is a P.O. Box.
