When you make a payment via ACH bank transfer with the Pay Vendors experience, it gets a NACHA (National Automated Clearinghouse Association) trace number.
This 15-digit confirmation number is provided by the funding bank and identifies the payment.
You can give the NACHA trace number to your vendor as proof of payment. It also assures you that the NACHA scheme has managed your payment.
Both payors and vendors can use the trace number to track and find the payment. You can present the NACHA trace number to the receiving bank in order to locate the payment if needed.
Here’s how to find your NACHA trace number:
- Go to Pay in the left sidebar.
- Click the Payments tab.
- In the Paid sub-tab, find the desired payment. You can also find it in the All sub-tab with the label Paid.
- Click View Payment.
- On the right, the Payment summary will open.
- The trace number appears in the VENDOR RECEIVED part of your payment details, under the delivery method.
